Academic painting course

Painting is one of the most striking types of visual art, which conveys the real world around us with the help of paints. The word "painting" is Russian, it means "to write vividly." "Alive" does not mean "as in life." We expect the painting to be "alive" so that it touches our feelings, awakens our thoughts, participates in our lives. An artist cannot create a real life with his art, but he can create a living life according to the laws of art in his work.

We use the word "draw" when it comes to working with dry materials (pencil, charcoal, chalk), and "write" with liquid materials. Therefore, it is customary to say that paintings are painted, as painters work with liquid paints.

To successfully master Painting, it is necessary first of all to master the Basics of Composition, Drawing and Color Science.

For competent work, you need to have an idea of the tools and materials of watercolor, tempera, oil painting and also about the techniques of these types of painting.

Long-term painting should be alternated with short-term assignments in watercolor and gouache.

You should work not only from nature, but also write sketches from memory, imagination and imagination, and copy the works of famous painters.

This course will teach you how to complete specific tasks.:
- transfer volume on the plane;
- to convey on the plane the materiality of objects in relation to space, environment and lighting;
- to understand the tone relations;
- create a coloristic unity of the painting;
- it will also help you create highly professional paintings.
